Sheena Phillips, Artistic Director
The Magpie Consort is delighted to announce that Sheena Phillips, who directed the group from 2000 – 2011, has returned to Columbus after an 11 year hiatus and is directing the group again! Sheena is known for her eclectic and imaginative programming and for making connections with the wider Columbus community.
Sheena has directed amateur choirs of many shapes and sizes, including Rudsambee Company of Singers in Edinburgh (founded by Sheena and still going after 30 years), the Columbus Women’s Chorus, Summit United Methodist Church, Belsize Community Choir (London), The Michael Singers (University College London), and, of course, the Magpie Consort. She is also a published composer and arranger, editor of Canasg Music Publishing, and accompanist for the Columbus Women’s Chorus.
