Sheena Phillips, Artistic Director
Sheena Phillips, Artistic Director, is known for her eclectic and imaginative programming and for making connections with the wider Columbus community. She directed the group from 2000 – 2011 before leaving Columbus, and resumed the reins on her return in 2022.
Sheena has directed amateur choirs of many shapes and sizes, including Rudsambee Company of Singers in Edinburgh (founded by Sheena and still going after 30 years), the Columbus Women’s Chorus, Summit United Methodist Church, Belsize Community Choir (London), The Michael Singers (University College London), and, of course, the Magpie Consort. She is also a published composer and arranger, editor of Canasg Music Publishing, director of Cardinal Singers at Otterbein University, and accompanist for the Columbus Women’s Chorus.
