An American Christmas

Join the Magpies this December for an all-American medley of folk, gospel, jazz, and classical songs of the season, from many parts of the USA, and from the 18th century to the present.

The menu includes music from the 18th century California Missions, traditional carols from Kentucky, Texas, Louisiana, Georgia and Hawaii, foot-tapping gospel arrangements by Keith McCutchen, popular 19th century American carols, and classical choral music by William Billings, George Bristow, Charles Ives, and Eric Whitacre.

With Phil Brown Dupont (piano), Jessa Ehle (violin), Becci and Alex Shields (ukulele and voice), and Cherry Oakley (narration and voice).

PREVIEW PERFORMANCE at CAHS
We sang a few selections from our program, and joined forces with CAHS Chorale, the senior choir at Columbus Alternative High School (directed by Dr Collin Richardson), on November 13. It was a great evening!
