One for Sorrow, Two for Joy
celebrating 25 years of The Magpie Consort
Choral classics, dance songs, love songs, folk songs, spirituals, mouth music, and more. With piano interludes by Phil Brown Dupont, facts and folklore about magpies, and audience participation – including the making of a ‘magpie bridge’ across the Milky Way (as told in Chinese legend). We will also be joined by various Magpie alumni in singing a number of old favorites from our repertoire.
