One for Sorrow, Two for Joy

celebrating 25 years of The Magpie Consort 

Choral classics, dance songs, love songs, folk songs, spirituals, mouth music, and more. With piano music by the wonderful Phil Brown Dupont, facts and folklore about magpies, and audience participation – including the making of a ‘magpie bridge’ across the Milky Way (as told in Chinese legend).

Parking information

Maple Grove: the church parking lot is off Aldrich Rd (via N High Street or W Henderson Rd and Rosemary Parkway). There is an elevator inside the building that can take you up to the sanctuary on the second floor.

King Avenue: there are lots – and entrances – on the west and south sides of the church. The elevator is under a portico that extends from the south side of the church, and is well signed.
